Capability 02 · Technology Enablement

Technology Enablement

Cloud and application foundations engineered for reliability, security, and long-term maintainability — built so your teams can own them after we leave.

The capability

Foundations that stay boring under load.

Enablement work is judged by what it does not do: no heroics at 3am, no undocumented configuration, no platform that only one engineer understands. We build landing zones, delivery pipelines, and application platforms with the operational surface documented and the failure modes understood before they are exercised.

Every foundation we lay is delivered as code and handed over with the reasoning behind it — so your engineers can extend, audit, and defend the platform without a standing dependency on us.

Focus areas

What this capability covers.

Three areas, each delivered by practitioners who have operated them in production.

01

Cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure

Landing zones, network topology, identity, and workload placement designed around your regulatory perimeter and team structure.

02

Application modernisation and platform engineering

Incremental re-platforming from legacy estates, internal developer platforms, and delivery pipelines that make the paved road the easiest road.

03

Security, compliance, and operational readiness

Controls mapped to the frameworks you must satisfy, with observability, incident response, and service objectives defined before go-live.

How we engage

A deliberate sequence, start to finish.

The same discipline applies whether the engagement is a two-week decision sprint or a year-long programme.

  1. 01

    Assess the estate

Baseline the current platform against production reality: topology, delivery path, controls, cost, and the failure history.

  2. 02

    Design the foundations

Reference architecture and guardrails agreed up front, including what will deliberately not be standardised.

  3. 03

    Migrate in increments

Wave-based movement with a reversible path at every step — nothing is switched over until its fallback is proven.

  4. 04

    Harden and hand over

Runbooks, service objectives, and enablement sessions so your team operates the platform with confidence from day one.

Working together

Ways to engage.

Scope is agreed against a named outcome before work begins, and the exit is agreed before the start.

3–5 weeks

Foundation assessment

Estate review with a target-state architecture and prioritised remediation plan.

Quarterly

Platform programme

Design, build, and migrate waves with defined acceptance criteria per wave.

Ongoing

Embedded enablement

Senior engineers working alongside your teams to build capability while delivering.

What you receive

  • Target-state reference architecture with decision records
  • Infrastructure as code for landing zones, networks, and identity
  • Migration wave plan with rollback criteria for each step
  • Security and compliance control mapping against your required frameworks
  • Service level objectives, dashboards, and alerting baselines
  • Operational runbooks and a platform enablement playbook for your engineers

What it produces

  • Reversible by designEvery migration step proven before the next begins
  • Code, not clicksWhole platform reproducible from source control
  • Owned in-houseRunbooks and training delivered as a defined outcome

Sector experience

Where we have done this before.

Domain context shapes the design from the first workshop — these are the sectors we know in production.

  • Financial services and payments
  • Healthcare and life sciences
  • Logistics and field operations
  • SaaS and technology providers

Questions we are often asked

How we engage, who does the work, and what you can expect.

Yes. Most engagements embed into your existing accounts, repositories, and pipelines rather than running a parallel process.

Begin with a conversation.

If you are weighing a consequential technology decision, we would be glad to discuss it — with no obligation and no sales process.
